Cynthy
Johnson is a Harpist and Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner
(CTHP), and a graduate of the International Harp Therapy
Program. She holds an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences
and has an extensive background in Music and Healthcare.
Cynthy also holds Certifications in Hospice Care, Usui
Reiki, Karuna Reiki, Lightarian Reiki and Christian Spiritual
Direction. She is accomplished in appropriate harp repertoire
and improvisation for sound healing and has practical
knowledge and experience of a wide range of study integrating
these disciplines including interpersonal skills, and
special training to meet the needs of recipients in both
acute and long term care facilities. Cynthy is committed
to fostering trust, insuring confidentiality, respectfulness,
and sensitivity. Cynthy Johnson provides individuals,
facilities and hospices, in and around the greater Richmond
area, with services as a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner,
including in-service presentations and workshops.
MUSICIAN
Cynthy Johnson is a Professional Harpist and Certified
Therapeutic Harp Practitioner. The breadth and depth of
her musical experience spans over 30 years encompassing
Liturgical Organ, Piano, Flute, Acoustic Guitar, Voice,
Native American Flute, and Harp. Cynthy studied pedal
harp at The Academy of Music, where she was trained in
the Salzedo Method, under the tutelage of accomplished
harpist Lynnelle Ediger-Kordzaia. She is a member of the
American Harp Society and a member of the International
Society of Folkharpers and Craftsmen.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and
has an extensive background in Music, Healthcare and Business
Management. Cynthy also holds Certifications in Hospice
Care, Christian Spiritual Direction, Business Management
and Leadership Development.
Cynthy serves the Richmond, VA and surrounding communities
as a Professional Harpist, Harp Instructor and Coach,
and a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner. She graduated
from the International Harp Therapy Program in San Diego,
CA.
She teaches harp to students locally in her studio in
Richmond, VA. Harp Students both locally and from around
the country have sought Cynthy's unique and dynamic instruction,
specifically tailored to encompass the student's initiatives
and support the student in their specific goals.
Cynthy serves her community as a Certified Christian Spiritual
Director, and is a member of Spiritual Directors International.
In addition, her work includes speaking engagements, personal
consultations, and workshops of which she draws upon much
of her past experiences to educate, inform, and entertain
audiences.
Cynthy is highly regarded for her efforts to provide educational
seminars to the medical community about the benefits of
Harp Therapy, as well as her personal commitment to serving
the community through charitable services to the Central
Virginia Cursillo Community. She is also the founding
member and President for a Chapter of the International
Society of Folkharpers and Craftsmen in Central Virginia,
the Anam Cara Harp Circle.

Cynthy

Therapy as an Adjunctive Modality in Therapeutic Recreation
and Rehabilitation.
OTHER
Cynthy
Johnson is a Usui, Karuna, and Lightarian Reiki Master
and offers Tibetan Sound Bowl Healing. Having been training
in sound healing modalities, she utilizes this training
and combines this within her Reiki practice during instruction
and during while offering Reiki sessions. She offers chakra
balancing along with harp music tailored to the client
