Music practitioner, certified by the Music for Healing and Transition Program. Serves in a hospice residence with voice, harp, and harmonicas, and in local hospitals and nursing homes. Sound practitioner. Studied toning with Jonathan Goldman. Works with sound through the Institute for Healing through Sound and Music.

Virginia has a Masters degree in Liturgical Music, with a specialty in choral and cantoring (Santa Clara University). Presently serves local churches as cantor and choir member. Served local churches in several cultures: Director of music on a reservation in New Mexico. Coordinated a group of Navajo singers and instrumentalists; sang and played guitar in the folk choir of the church Directed choirs of children and young adults in India and in Liberia, West Africa.

Masters degree in English from Boston College and M.A. in Teaching from the University of Madras, India. Taught music in the schools of the USA and of Liberia, West Africa. Taught music in schools of USA, Liberia,West Africa.
Presenter
• Music in palliative care for a local conference: "Kaleidoscope of Caring".
• Workshop Presentation on the use of Gregorian Chant with persons who are dying
   at a national conference of the Music for Healing and Transition Program.
• Led an all-day workshop on Hildegard of Bingen in a team of three. Presented and
   performed the music of Hildegard.
• Presentations on healing music for schools of nursing, medical staff of health facilities,
   church communities, and nurses' associations.

The Institute for Healing through Sound and Music
Co-founder and director of The Institute for Healing through Sound and Music(IHSM),a non-profit organization working for the advancement of the profession of music practitioner, co-ordinating services of local practitioners, and giving presentations and workshops to raise awareness of the healing power of music.
