CENTER OF LIGHT INSTITUTE OF SOUND HEALING AND SHAMANIC
STUDIES:
(founded by Zacciah
Blackburn) provides training in the
art of sound healing as a therapeutic practice for personal
or professional use, studies and in-depth experiential
practice through its shamanic Earth Mysteries School,

energies, study of the Egyptian and other Esoteric Mysteries,
and personal workshops incorporating esoteric studies
and meditation practices with the deeply moving and
transformative power of Sacred Sound Transmissions.
The Center offer private healing therapies utilizing
Sacred Sound, spiritual counseling, and shamanic practice.
Our workshops, transformative world journeys & retreats,
and individual therapies are designed to draw us to
our own innate wisdom, personal power, and an authentic
sense of our Sacred being.
Their Sound Healers Training is an in depth study of
technique and understanding from both an intuitive and
cognitive & scientific approach to sound as a healing
modality, working with understanding & practices
embracing voice, chant and mantra, toning, intutitive
voice healing, tuning forks, crystal and Tibetan bowls
and bells, drums and other instruments, shamanic principals,
channelling, incorporating the latest science, and ancient
mysticism. The program administers a 3 year curriculum,
offering certificates of training for each year completed.
The program includes topics of study in the use of voice
and instruments, neurophysiology, the chakras and human
energy system, creating sacred space, and using the
art of sacred sound transmissions (intutive channeling.)
Inititial programs begin each September, and continue
for eight months in 3-day weekend trainings. Participants
can take individual classes or entire courses. Practicing
sound healers regularly find even first year trainings
more rigorous, thorough, experiential, and in depth,
than many prior studies they have engaged in. Learn

THE HEALING VOICE: Founded by Joy
Gardner, this program emphasizes that
the human voice is one of the finest tools for expressing
the heart and soul and for healing body and spirit.
People do this through toning (making sustained vibratory
sounds without melody, rhythm or words). You don't need
a beautiful voice to tone! Every child is born knowing
how to do it.
This workshop is for those who want to:
- - discover your voice
- - experience spontaneous self-expression
- - release pent-up emotions
- - release stress, pain and tension
- - experience inner peace
Toning is the universal telepathic language that everyone
can learn to use. It is a vital tool for your own healing,
and a powerful tool for healing others. The group will
do a variety of exercises that may include: Toning for
the Pain in Your Body, Toning with Body Work, Toning
the Chakras, Toning to Change Core Beliefs, Toning to
Energize Manifestation, Toning for World Peace, and
Shamanic Sounding.

MUSIC FOR HEALING AND TRANSITION PROGRAM (MHTP):
Founded in 1995, MHTP
is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated
to training musicians with a transforming and innovative
curriculum. Graduates of the Program bear the title
of Certified Music Practitioner®.
The mission is to teach musicians how to provide live,
acoustic, therapeutic music. MHTP's goal is to create
healing environments in hospitals, nursing homes, and
for hospice patients both in healthcare facilities and
in their homes. An additional goal is to educate the
healthcare profession as well as the general public
to the importance of therapeutic musicians.
MHTP's vision is for Certified Music Practitioners®
to be sought-after members of the healthcare team in
hospices, hospitals, nursing homes and other healthcare
venues. These musicians should be recognized as bringing
an essential service to the healthcare system. The organization
began after two musicians read an article in The Folk
Harp Journal by harpist Laurie Riley about her experience
playing in the Intensive Care Unit for her father during
a serious health crisis. In 1994 these musicians asked
Laurie to help them initiate an organization that would
train other musicians to play at the bedside. Learn
