Welcome to Healing Music Practitioners Vocational Listings
 
This section of The Healing Music Organization's worldwide membership lists members by vocation. Our vocational categories are Practitioners, Musicians, Authors, Educators and Researchers. If you work with sound and music in the healing arts, but don't fit into one of these vocational categories, please let us know. We have a miscellaneous category where your information can be listed. Practitioners - These members are people involved in the health profession. They utilize many modalities associated with sound and vibration such as: sound healing, music therapy, toning, crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, didgeridoo, flutes, drumming, tuning forks, bioacoustic technology, Tomatis Method, shamanic journeying, etc. To see a listing of these practitioners, click here.
 
Musicians - These members are people who consider themselves musicians. Their training and experience run the full gamut of highly trained to completely untrained. Many of these practitioners have recordings that we feature in our Music Store and Music Discovery Store. Authors - These members are people have published either scientific articles or books on the subject of sound healing and music therapy or related subjects. Their works can be found in our Bibliography section; many are featured in our Healing Music Bookstore and all are listed in Amrita's soon to be published "The Enclcylopedia of Sound: A Researcher's Guide to Sound and Music in the Healing Arts and Sciences." Educators - These members are people who educate others about some aspect of Sound Healing and Music Therapy and other related subjects. Many of these practitioners have independent training and certification programs, and some are associated with educational institutions. Researchers - These members are people who are currently, or have previously conducted research in the areas of Psychoacoustics, Bioacoustics, Vibroacoustics as well as other related areas.
