Emmanuel
Combe is a researcher and teacher. Born in Paris (France)
in 1959, studied Recorder since the age of seven. After
a cancer diagnosis on June 1977, Emmanuel Comte used sounds
to recover his health. Afterwards, he started to search
the harmonizing and healing power of sound.
Emmanuel Comte has played Recorder since the age of seven.
He studied Harmonic Chant with Michael Vetter in 1980.
He gives Healing Concerts and sound healing seances in
Montreal (QC, Canada) and in many place in Europe (France,
Belgium, Switzerland).

"Well beyond the typical relaxation music available
on the marketplace, the music of Emmanuel Comte allows
one the enter into a hypnotic or dream 'state' which is
still in the process of being defined and is certainly
well suited for operating room procedures. This music
is actually used while preparing the patient during applications
of general anaesthesia. It allows the inducement of a
relaxed state conductive to applications of anaesthesia
and gives them a greater effectiveness. This music is
used also in the field of local anaesthesia whereby it
helps the patients escape the operation experience, lifting
them out in the room and away from sounds, physical properties
and even delays inherent in the operating room. It favours
the creation of pleasant images such as flight or travel,
which help block the discomfort and pain experienced during
the operation. Studies are presently underway to further
define these 'states' and to improve their perceived importance."
